Solar Guide, a company that provides free online resources on solar-related issues for solar engineers and home solar owners has declared the availability of its new version of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Feed-In Tariff Calculator for calculating the tariff structure. The new version can be set in any of the websites of the solar installation companies.
The new version of the feed-in-tariff calculator enables the clients who wish to install solar panels at their premises to estimate the size of the solar panels required by them, the cost of the panels and their entitlement of feed-in-tariff (FIT) reimbursement from the government. The FIT announced by the government brings in financial benefits to home-users, businesses and other community type of solar power users thus allowing them to pay less towards utility power payments by producing their own electric power supply. They are also entitled to receive money for excess power produced and exported to the power grid.
According to David Holmes, the founder of Solar Guide, the all inclusive type of solar calculator included in the guide, provides calculations on the available solar radiation at various places and also provides correct figures on return-on-investment, the anticipated AER (Annual Equivalent Rate) and the calculation for Feed-in-Tariff. In addition to it the calculator also provides a clear idea on the anticipated losses due to voltage and variations in seasonal weather conditions. The calculator can be easily included in any website and it is available free.
