WePOWER Falcon Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Receives San Diego County Approval

The Vertical Axis Wind Turbine manufactured by WePOWER received the required certification from the San Diego County Building Department to commence its operations.

The wind turbine owned by Tim Williams, a resident of the San Diego County, received the third party certification from TUV SUD America, a globally known testing and certifying company. The 3.4 kW Falcon wind turbine is erected over an 18 feet pole at the property owned by Tim Williams by Joe Moore Construction, an authorized dealer of WePower.

Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

The vertical axis wind turbine produced by WePOWER is different from that of the conventional prop-style wind turbines. The vertical wind turbines are designed to generate power without the side effects such as vibration and noise normally found in prop-style wind turbines. The smooth working wind turbines are virtually maintenance free and safe for the birds that fly nearby. The wind turbines are currently available in power production ranges of 600W, 1.2kW, 3.4kW, 5.5kW and 12kW. The WePOWER wind turbines are sanctioned as stimulus products and are eligible to receive 30% Federal Tax credit.

The CE and IEC61400.2 and UL 1741 certified wind turbines are approved by California Energy Commission (CEC) and included in the list of commercially proven equipment providers maintained by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
