CNPV Inaugurates Solar Project in Shandong Province

CNPV, a fully-owned auxiliary of CNPV Dongying Solar Power Company, producing and supplying solar power products such as ingots, wafers, cells and solar panels, has declared the completion and opening of a75 MW solar power project, the biggest utility level facility in Shandong Province.

The solar project formed as a part of the National Golden Sun Demonstration Project of China, was formulated, developed and erected by CNPV and displays the power of solar power generation. The 7 MW demonstration project incorporates high power producing premium modules manufactured by CNPV and statistically makes improved power generation when compared to the other previously installed trial projects. The project completed with an estimated investment of around $25 million is found to be suitable to promote green energy generation in Shandong Province and the city of Dongying will generate enough power to supply electricity to around 8,000 homes. The power produced from the facility can offset approximately 8,000 tons of carbon dioxide discharges and save around 4,000 tons of coal otherwise utilized for coal-powered power generation.

Zhang Shunfu, the CEO of the company and B. Veerraju Chaudary, CNPV’s COO, CTO & Member of the Board, thanked the supportive role played by the Central and the local government in implementing the project. They expressed optimism about the solar energy becoming a viable power production alternative with reduced power production costs and grid parity in the coming years with the support of the solution providers, power producing companies and the energy investors.
