Enphase Energy Supplies Microinverters for Solar Projects

Enphase Energy, a manufacturer of solar microinverter systems, declared that it has dispatched over 500,000 microinverters as on date. It also has unveiled its plans to increase the production by three fold in 2011 to meet the growing demand for the product in commercial and residential applications.

The microinverters supplied by Enphase Energy are digitally controlled by an incorporated custom made semiconductor chip, which also provides in-built networking and monitoring capabilities. The solar inverters manufactured by the company incorporate a unique design and are manufactured under process conditions that are normally found in high tech type of electronic industries. According to Paul Nahi, Enphase Energy’s CEO, the company exports more number of inverters than any other company and continuously monitor most of them utilizing a special monitoring service called Enlighten.

A recent study conducted on around 74,000 solar project applications enlisted in the database of California Solar Initiative (CSI) indicates that Enphase Energy has achieved around 13% of the market share in the home solar erections of up to 10 kW power during 2010 from 5.3% in 2009. In its commercial installations from mere 3% in 3009 it achieved a growth of 9.3% in 2010.
