ESA Renewables, a provider of ready-to-use solar systems and Suniva, a producer of ultra-efficient monocrystalline silicon solar modules and cells based in the US, have declared the commissioning of a 1-MW solar facility in Blairsville, Georgia. It will be the colossal privately owned ground mounted connected solar system in the state.
ESA Renewables is designing, engineering and building the system, while Trey Pippin of Renewable Properties is developing the system. The solar farm covers about five acres of land. The solar farm is constructed with Suniva’s 4,340 ultra-powered solar modules and four 260 kW PV powered inverters from Advanced Energy.
The Blairsville solar farm is anticipated to produce a total energy of about 1,303,000 kWh per year. The power produced will be traded to Tennessee Valley Authority and its Generation Partners pilot. Generation Partners offers incentives for the installation of renewable production systems. The pilot project produces additional green energy for the subscribers of Green Power Switch and develops a market for green energy production by companies and house owners.
