Clean Power Research Releases Latest Version of SolarAnywhere Resource Data

Clean Power Research has announced release of its free, improved and high resolution solar resource data, which enfolds the state of California completely.

The company, one among the California Solar Initiative (CSI) RD&D funding recipients, as a part of its CSI grant has released SolarAnywhere Enhanced Resolution (ER), an improved version of its SolarAnywhere, an earlier released internet-based solar irradiance data accessing facility. The service provides spatial resolution (number of independent pixels) of 1 km x 1 km area and temporal resolution (frequency) of 30 minutes.

The data is provided free of charge and addresses the periods from 2003 to 2011 with one year time delay. The SolarAnywhere ER version will allow those involved in the installation of solar projects such as developers, installers, utility companies, researchers, consultants and individual operators to understand the natural irregularities that occur in solar irradiation to plan their solar installation and its integration with the grid meticulously.

The new version offers solar irradiance data gained through the use of satellite for places in the USA, Hawaii, which includes old, current and future anticipated details
