Parity Solar Installs Building Integrated Photovoltaic System in China

Provider of ultra quality photovoltaic products and services to the global solar power market, Parity Solar, has completed the deployment of a sophisticated building integrated photovoltaic system (BIPV) in the New Area Court House complex in Zhenjiang City, China.

The BIPV modules were deployed on a curved surface and both the thin film and crystalline modules on the rooftop’s skylight area.

The BIPV system will generate a total photovoltaic power of 200 kW. The project also utilizes the new Satcon Solstice inverter technology that optimizes power output when enabling mounting set ups and mixed technologies to be controlled by a single system. The BIPV system was integrated to the grid in the end of December 2010 to meet up the Jiangsu 2010 deadline to secure feed-in-tariff rate of 3.0 RMB per kWh.

This demonstrative project has drawn the attention of other industrial and government organizaions resulting in major new projects for Parity Solar. The company will reveal about these projects after their completion. The Chief Executive Officer at Parity Solar, Scott Burton, stated that China is a potential but challenging solar photovoltaic market. However, Parity Solar has invested to form a comprehensive development and EPC team. He further said that the company is showing improvement and planning to develop as a major photovoltaic system company in China.
