A city in Nevada State has deployed over a million solar panels in the desert in an effort to reduce energy expenditure for the whole region and even marketing power for profit to other municipalities.
Reno, Nevada-based TV station KTVN, has reported that NV Energy recently deployed solar panels across the surrounding region to exploit the power produced by the desert sunshine. NV Energy has now installed over 500 solar photovoltaic panels across Boulder City, Neil Road, where the power firm’s headquarters is located.
According to the KTVN’s report, NV Energy is also managing the deployments of the systems by offering the residential customers a rebate worth $3,000 for changing to solar water systems. However, these solar water systems are just transmitting the heat from the sun to water tanks and not storing the energy.
The consumers can reduce their energy bills by utilizing home solar power systems. Most of the companies are offering rebates for purchasing solar power systems and thus installation expenditure will be comparatively lower for residential customers. Numerous government agencies are also offering tax breaks for utilizing home solar power systems.
