JA Solar Signs Supply Accord with European Company to Supply Solar Modules

JA Solar, a China-based producer of solar power products and solar cells, declared that it has contracted a supply accord with a European photovoltaic systems company to supply 400 MW of solar modules.

The supply of the modules will commence from 2011 and will continue till the end of 2013. The accord will require JA Solar to supply the European company 100 MW of solar modules in the year 2011. It will supply 125 MW in 2012 and 175 MW in 2013.

Dr. Peng Fang, JA Solar’s CEO, expressed his excitement over the long period of association enabled by the contract with the European supplier of solar power systems and PV modules. He conveyed his optimism about strengthening the position of the company in the European markets by blending the solar modules quality of his company with that of the broad and extensive customer reach of his European partner.
