Martifer’s subsidiary, Martifer Solar, has deployed solar modules with a total capacity of 2.88 MW on a rooftop in Prague, Czech Republic.
The modules were deployed on a total area of 67,816 m2, spanning six separate buildings in the same industrial complex situated in an industrial park in Prague and operated by a third party.
A unique support structure for the solar modules was designed in order to meet the requirement of a perforating system. The support system is modified according to the structure of the facility to ensure its constancy and waterproof.
The new rooftop installation will produce clean energy to meet the annual power demands of more than 1,400 families and eliminate over 5,300 tons of CO2 every year. General Manager for Northern & Central Europe at Martifer Solar, Ricardo Meireles, stated that as the 2.88 MW were intricate as there was a necessity to ensure the stability of the buildings and check the safety of the construction as the installation was arranged in the frame of the building. The company is happy about the completion of such an intricate project, he added.
