Samba Energy, a leading provider of software and technology services for promoting clean renewable energy, is planning a 2.3 MW solar program at 15 facilities of The Hertz Corporation in the United States. This high-volume program is the largest of its kind in the U.S. travel industry.
This program will involve the installation of solar systems at Hertz facilities based at Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Colorado. Samba Energy is also offering the Samba SunSpotter, its software platform, for project management of the solar installations and also for solar and investment analysis.
The installation of these solar systems is being done by Martifer Solar USA.
Senior Vice President of Hertz, Richard Broome has stated that Samba Energy's software has helped them to determine the cost-effectiveness of solar investment across their US facilities. He added that Samba Energy has also helped Hertz select an installer by managing the competitive bid process.
Managing Director of Samba Energy, Michael Hidary has stated that Samba's project management expertise and software have been designed with an aim to help large companies identify areas that are most profitable for investment and development.
