TerniEnergia to Complete 16 Photovoltaic Power Plants in Italy

TerniEnergia aims at producing solar electricity worth 18.3 MW through sixteen industrial-sized photovoltaic (PV) power plants throughout Italy by March 31st.

In 2010, 77.2MW of solar electricity was produced by the 76 PV plants installed by TerniEnergia.

Located across Lazio, Marche, Molise, Piemonte, Puglia and Umbria, two  of the sixteen plants have a capacity of 1.6MW, possess complete equity finance and are currently under construction. With a capacity of 8.2MW, 5 of the plants will be joint ventures. Nine remaining plants with a total capacity of 6.2MW are being constructed for third party clients.

TerniEnergia has also announced that two solar installations in Ancona and Latina, with a combined capacity of more than 3MW are being developed by Energie and EnergiaAlternativa, joint venture between EDF EN Italia and TerniEnergia.
