New Energy Technologies to Commercialize Spray-on-Solar Technology

New Energy Technologies a solar innovating company, has declared that it is ready with its spray-on-solar technology to introduce it in the commercial market.

During early part of this month, the company declared that it had productively sprayed a thin film of nano solar electric power generating program over a 1 x 1 foot glass pane. Earlier this month, the company had released a 4 inch x 4 inch sized prototype of the product.

According to John Conklin, CEO of New Energy Technologies, the company has faced more process complications in scaling the product from 4” x 4” to 1 foot x 1 foot size. The company has confronted problems in maintaining the consistency in spraying the liquid solar programming over the glass while preserving the efficiency of the product and its aesthetically attractive translucent exterior. The company intends to utilize the services of third-party evaluators such as the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado or the university to test the product to ascertain its performance.

When compared to the normally utilized monocrystalline solar PV panels, which are installed over the rooftops, the spray-on solar generates considerably lesser quantity of power. The spray is formulated to generate power from both sunlight and artificial light. The company visualizes that spray-on solar program can be more productive for sky-scraper type of constructions with lesser roof area and more window area with a number of windows.
