RES Americas Completes Building of Flat Water Wind Project Owned by Gestamp Renewables

Renewable Energy Systems Americas, a company engaged in the formulation and building of renewable energy projects, and Flat Water Wind Farm, a joint venture amongst the Gestamp Wind North America, an auxiliary company of Gestamp Renewables and Banco Santander, have declared the completion of Flat Water Wind Project located in Nemaha County in Kansas and Richardson County in southern Nebraska.

The 60 MW wind power project comprising 40 1.5 MW wind turbines manufactured by GE was completed on 15th November 2010 nearly one month before the stipulated date of completion.

Susan Reilly, who leads RES Americas as its President and CEO, expressed happiness about working in association with Gestamp Wind North America on a project that can usher green energy to the Omaha Public Power District. She added that wind power generation will allow the communities in Richardson and Nemaha counties to prosper with new clean energy job positions

The project is expected to generate over 150 skilled jobs during the period of its construction.
