EdeniQ to Install Third Cellunator for E Energy Adams

A Clean technology company based in California, EdeniQ has declared that it has entered into an agreement to install a third Cellunator device of 50 million gallons per year (MGPY) corn ethanol plant at E Energy Adams in Nebraska.

The Cellunator developed by EdeniQ is a highly advanced and industrial grade milling equipment that would reduce the average particle size of the milled corn in a cost-effective manner and without increasing the fine particles that could spoil downstream processes.

Robert Miller, the Plant Manager at E Energy Adams has revealed that their plant had been utilizing two Cellunators for processing two thirds of the slurry for more than a year. He mentioned that they had found the Cellunators to be affordable, durable and capable of producing first-rate results. It was well known to every operator that measurement of yields on a day to day basis is highly difficult; however it was found in the long run that a 3% improvement could be attributed to the Cellunators. He also mentioned that the third Cellunator was to be added so that they could process all their feed and generate 4% or more improvement.

Carl Sitzmann, the CEO of E Energy has commented that the Cellunator would enhance operational flexibility even in their business, which had highly volatile inputs and outputs. The Cellunator is used to reduce the amount of corn to be purchased without affecting the production rates when corn prices increase. When the corn prices are low, the Cellunator is used to thrust more starch into the plant and thus make more ethanol. Thus the Cellunator is of  great help in both maximizing the revenue and in controlling costs depending on the conditions in the market.
