Solar Installation to be Developed by ECTP for Glopak Headquarters

Glopak along with Energy Conservation Technologies (ECTP) is  planning to install a 1.2 MW Solar Energy System at the Glopak Headquarters located in South Plainfield in New Jersey. ECTP has chosen The Solar Center to be the installer.

This project includes 1,889 solar panels, which are to be installed on the roof and 2,396 solar panels, which are to be installed on the ground in the Glopak facility. On completion, the system would produce around 1.3 MW hours of energy, which would provide about half of the facility’s electrical requirements. This system would also reduce carbon dioxide emissions to the tune of 1,800,000 pounds annually, which would be like planting 4500 trees for every year the system is being used.

At present, the construction work was focused on building the land based and the roof system to get them connected to the grid. Darnell Burt, ECTP’s CEO remarked that they were delighted to have been chosen for managing and developing the project. He further mentioned that this project was one the biggest green projects undertaken in the Middlesex County.
