AgCall conducted a new survey between February 10 and 17 to determine the extent of support for the promotion and production of biodiesel in Canada.
Around 300 Canada-based soybean and canola farmers in the regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario were chosen as respondents of the survey.
The respondents were chosen at random to ensure statistical cogency. The Telespecialists of AgCall made them to respond to the questions independently and also further delineated questions when required.
The survey report has mentioned that 66% of the respondents expressed their awareness regarding biodiesel’s 2% renewable fuel standard in Canada. 87% of the respondents accepted the fact that farmers would be benefited due to the enhanced demand generated by the production of biodiesel.
The survey has also reported that 81% of respondents demand a central renewable policy for supporting the utilization of canola and soybeans in biodiesel production.
The AgCall Survey was performed in the interest of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association and the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
