FLEXcon, major developer of pressure-sensitive films, has declared that its FLEXcon multiGUARD KPE W12 backsheet has been incorporated by Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies into their newly authorized 220, 230 and 240 Watt Windsor Series modules.
FLEXcon’s backsheet enables Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies to meet the Ontario FIT and microFIT programs. It offers an optimized way to link a project, obtains payment for the power generated and also sends the payment to the power distribution system of the province, otherwise named as ‘the grid’.
This new series of module is part of a multi-phased expansion developed to meet the requirement for Ontario- developed solar panels, which is a major demand for all FIT and microFIT programs.
Sean Moore, CEO of Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies, has stated that the backsheet of FLEXcon is a major element in the development of their solar panels. He mentioned that the partnership has enabled them to obtain certification to take up FIT and microFIT programs’ commercial orders and also to support several clean energy projects. He expressed his excitement in working with FLEXcon’s team and added that they will continue to gain from their focus on superior quality and client service.
According to Michelle Ostiguy, Market Development Specialist of FLEXcon, their company has transferred its extensive knowledge and experience in producing adhesives and laminates into the backsheets development. He added that they would help Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies to cope with conformance and also to release sophisticated solar panels in the market.
