Trina Solar, Zep Solar Sign Licensing Agreement for Module Integrated Installation Hardware

Trina Solar, a leading manufacturer of Solar PV products, has declared that they have entered into a licensing, marketing and sales agreement with Zep Solar, a US- based manufacturing company, which manufactures a platform for module integrated installation hardware.

The hardware would offer considerable reduction to the overall system expenditure and would be the speediest method for the installation of PV arrays on commercial and residential roof applications.

The company aims at including the patented Zep Groove into the Trina Solar module design by the third quarter of 2011. Both the PV modules and the installation hardware would remove the usage of large mounting rails and grounding hardware. This would decrease the hardware costs and the parts count along with reduction in labor, design and logistics expenses.

Trina Solar has plans of selling the hardware system in  the market in Australia, Europe and North America by the final quarter of 2011. Both Trina Solar and Zep have plans of developing new technologies and equipment for delivery of innovative solutions to the PV market.

According to Ben Hill, who is the Global Head of Marketing and Sales, they were thrilled to team up with Zep Solar to improve both the aesthetics and the structure of Trina Solar’s advanced PV arrays. Their global customers could be offered new products. Mike Miskovsky, Zep Solar’s President has remarked that they were proud to be a partner to a company such as Trina Solar. According to him, Trina Solar has always been a pioneer in the field of PV with respect to value, innovation, quality and capacity.
