Live Oak Farms, a Central Valley-based bell pepper and tomato grower/packer/shipper, declared that it has commissioned a 272 kW solar power system.
The roof mounted solar PV system installed over the two buildings of the company will meet nearly 84% of the costs of its spending for electricity and will allow the company to get back its investments within a period of four years.
Cenergy Power, a Merced, California-based commercial solar power developing company, has planned and fabricated the solar system and installed it for Live Oak Farms. According to the signed arrangement, Cenergy Power will provide regular operations and maintenance services for a period of 10 years. The services include protective maintenance and repair, touch free panel cleaning and total guarantees for the system.
The power generated from the system will equalize over 15 million pounds of CO2 emissions annually and is likely to generate 370,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean energy every year.
