The Community Center at Dana Point, CA, will soon sport a second 4.9 kW solar system.
The project approved by the city council will allow the Community Center to have increased solar power output and save on its energy costs.
The additional solar system costs around $44,045, will be installed by Candelaria Electric, a city based company. The project will receive around $25,171 in the form of energy rebates from the California Center for Sustainable Energy and an additional $22,028 in the form of federal energy grants from the 2009 established stimulus package. The project is anticipated to get completed before the end of the current fiscal year.
The first phase of the project at the Nature Interpretive Center and the Community Center was completed by the San Clemente Company.
