Kyocera Solar, a supplier of ecological friendly solar energy solutions, has declared the completion of two solar installations at the Casa Grande school district, in Phoenix area in association with SolarCity.
The systems with a combined power generation capability of 764 kW will generate enough power to counterbalance over 33 million pounds of CO2 emissions.
The 500 kW solar installation completed at the Copper Ridge School incorporates 2,387 Kyocera KD210 solar modules and will generate around 775,992 kWh of clean energy every year. The power generated from the installation will meet nearly 47% of the schools energy usage. The 264 kW solar system installed over the Cholla Elementary School utilizes 1,260 Kyocera KD210 modules. The system is expected to generate around 364,000 kWh of solar power every year and will cover nearly 70% of its energy usage. Casa Grande School District has recently implemented energy and water savings plan, it also outlined guidelines for energy conservation, which includes construction of energy saving projects to achieve LEED certification.
SolarCity has installed the solar panels required for the installation and the company through a solar service agreement (SSA), which will provide the monitoring and maintenance services.
