Unirac, a company that provides infrastructure for installing solar power systems, declared that it has partnered with Wise Power Systems to complete a 1.1 MW solar power installation with the ISYS Ground Mount (IGM) in a locality in northern US.
Wise Power Systems has completed the installation of around 4,080 solar modules in two closely located sites in Vineland, New Jersey within a duration of 40 days by braving five major snowstorms. The installation sites are jointly owned by RFC Container and Russo Farms.
According to the owner and president of Wise Power Systems, William Rawheiser, solar panels required for the installation were pre-assembled at a location 60 miles away from the site and were delivered to the installation site by utilizing a vehicle racking system that comes equipped with zero breakage. He added that the panels were then positioned over the IGM by utilizing a crane and the clip featured in each IGM held the modules in place while fastening them to the beam. Wise Power was able to complete around 70 kW installations in a day.
Doug May, CEO of Unirac, stated that IGM is designed to reduce time delays in the fabrication process and to lessen the weather problems in inclement weather zones. He explained that IGM enables simultaneous operations such as preparation of land, and foundation assembly, module assembly and array sub assembly. Also the design of I-beam cuts down the number of field laborers required for the installation.
