Avidan Management, a commercial and industrial real estate management company, declared that it has finished the erection of a roof mounted solar power system in New Jersey.
The clean energy produced by the installation will be used by the renters at the Edison, NJ, located distribution facility owned by the company.
The new solar system installed atop the 17-acre roof spanning 656,255-square-foot has incorporated 17,745 SolarWorld produced solar panels. The 4.26 MW solar system will generate around 5 million kWh of clean energy every year. The generated power will meet nearly 50% power requirements of the multiple renters who use the facility for office as well as storage for dry goods and frozen foods.
The solar system designed and installed by Solar Nation will generate enough power to offset nearly 3,750 tons carbon dioxide emissions annually, which can be equated to planting of around 3.5 million new tree saplings during the life period of the system.
