Google will associate with the federal National Renewable Energy Laboratory in utilizing the Google Maps as a basis to construct an online database of the power charging facilities providing locations. Google had invested an amount of $100 million in Shepherds Flat Wind Farm being constructed in a place close to Arlington, Ore. The 845 MW wind farm being developed by Caithness Energy will incorporate wind turbines produced by General Electric. The wind farm, which is anticipated to get completed by the year 2012, will trade the produced power to Southern California Edison.
