SANYO and InSpec Group Form Joint Venture to Complete Solar Installations in Oregon

The partnership formed by SANYO North America (SANYO) and InSpec Group (InSpec) to provide clean renewable energy solutions has recently resulted in the completion of a 99 kW solar PV project in the Salem Conference Center and commencement of a new 200 kW project in Salem, Oregon, located Chemeketa Community College.

InSpec Group engaged in the installation of solar panels at both the places has chosen SANYO HIT Power 220A solar panels. The panels are made utilizing wafers and ingots manufactured at SANYO’s production facility at Salem, Oregon. For the system integration, Inspec has utilized locally produced and sourced components. The SANYO panel chosen for the installation provides around 19.8% cell efficiency and 17.4% module efficiency, thus allowing maximum power distribution per square foot area.

The Salem Conference Center incorporates locally recycled and sourced materials and natural lighting to achieve LEED certification. The 99 kW solar system installed over the building will generate enough power to meet nearly 11% annual power requirements of the building. The Chemeketa Community College project, which has commenced recently, will incorporate four individual rooftop solar systems to generate more than 200 kW power. The installation when completed will allow the college to meet the mandatory renewable energy usage and generate more than 225,000 kWh every year.
