The Biomass Division of Stobart Group has lately contracted an accord valued around £90 m with Iggesund for developing a green energy power station on the energy coast of Britain.
According to the signed accord, the company in addition to developing the power station will also source the recycled wood and forest residue, and transport it to the newly constructed green energy power station located at the paper mill of Iggesund for use as biomass fuel. The construction, which is anticipated to commence in the first quarter of 2013, will substitute the existing gas-power facility of Iggesund with low carbon generating biomass fuel.
Andrew Tinkler, Group CEO of Stobart Group, stated that the nature of distribution and supply in the agreement will bring in additional benefits to the logistics and transport division of the company enabling regular utilization of its fleet of vehicles.
