Greentech Media, which provides research and analysis in the business-to-business greentech market, has declared that the proposed ‘Networked EV 2011: Smart Grids and Electric Vehicles’ will be held at the PG&E Auditorium, in San Francisco, CA, on October 20, 2011. The expo is anticipated to have innovative participation from markets such as utility, smart grid, and electric vehicle.
After the 2010 Networked EV conference, a number of changes have taken place in the electric vehicle segment. During the period that Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf hit the market, Obama administration had agreed to use electric vehicles in its fleet, while San Francisco Bay area has earned the name as “Electric Vehicle (EV) Capital of the U.S.”.
The 2011 conference will have participation from all those who were involved in the initiatives that took place last year as well as from those who are influencing changes for the betterment of the industry.
The Networked EV 2011 will use the details of the research performed by David J. Leeds, who leads the Smart Grid practice at GTM Research. He has reported that the use of electricity as a fuel will stimulate the growth of EV passenger vehicles.
The conference while focusing on David J. Leeds report will also discuss issues such as upcoming smart grid solutions, charging infrastructure, advanced metering and transformer build-out application for the EV market. It will also discuss on establishing communication protocols and standards to introduce a digital handshake between the EV and the grid.
