Synapse Product Development Designs Hardware Platform for Solar Power Pricing

The engineers of Synapse Product Development are presently contributing for the Simpa Networks design to provide safe and clean renewable energy to over 20 million low income households in India by means of a pay-as-you-go in-home solar power system.

The Simpa Regulator prototypes designed and built by Synapse are undergoing tests at customer premises in Bangalore, India. The hardware platform utilized in the regulators facilitates the progressive purchase pricing model by quantifying and regulating the electricity availability in tune with the payments made by the customers. The quick performing, sturdy, cheap and tamper proof device will enable Simpa to test and check their pricing model with real clients to understand the actual requirements of the clients.

Cameron Charles, Synapse’s Project Manager, said that the hardware platform developed by its engineers is supplied in a tamper-proof module and uses an encrypted payment model and validation system. He further said that the opportunity has enabled the company to design a product for a set of users who normally would not have opportunity to use such product.
