BlueChip Energy (BCE), a provider of integrated solar energy solutions for residential, commercial and utility level applications, has declared that it will showcase its 40 MW Sorrento Solar development at the Intersolar North America to be held in San Francisco, California from July 12-14, 2011.
The Sorrento Solar Farm is one of the important projects of the BCE amongst its pipeline of over 120 MW projects under various stages of development. The solar farm has received the needed approval and order from the local authorities in May 2011 and commenced the engineering and construction stage of the construction. The solar farm considered to be the biggest privately possessed solar project in Florida, has the possibility of including an additional 80 MW solar development in the land areas closed to its present development.
The company has lately started the purchase process and declared that it will utilize 400 GSM series Smart Modules produced by its auxiliary, Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP) in the first two phases of the project each with a 10 MW production capability. The company has reserved the purchase of the remaining modules and balance of components for the investors or partners who show interest to participate and develop the project.
The company is aiming to own and manage 500 MW of utility level solar power production facilities during the next five years by offering partnerships for investors, developers, integrators and producers in the growing solar market of USA.
