enXco and Marin Clean Energy have inked a Power Purchase Agreement for 31 MW of solar photovoltaic energy project. The location of this project will be on six possible places in Tulare, Kern and Kings Counties, along with the construction of a 1 MW solar carport facility in Marin County.
enXco and Marin Clean Energy will own, expand and run the solar project by buying the power produced under a 25-year deal with takeover chances at 10, 15, and 20 years of the contract duration. It is expected that the construction may commence in the fall of 2013 and the commercial processes in March, 2014. The joint locations will produce energy of 60,000 MW annually, which will fulfill 7.5%.of the yearly energy necessities of Marin Clean Energy when it is fully operational.
