Unirac, a company that provides infrastructure for the installation of solar power systems, declared that it has joined hands with KG Solar and Renewable Energy, a segment of KG Companies to supply a tailored Unirac ISYS Ground Mount (IGM) installation solution for a 425 kW solar installation for the Blairstown, New Jersey branch office of First Hope Bank.
The completed installation will substitute nearly 100% energy intake of the bank while offsetting nearly 8.6 Mt of carbon dioxide discharges in a period of 25 years.
The Unirac ISYS Ground Mount is designed for use in any type of foundation and enables the customers to choose cost-effective foundation options fitting to the requirement of the specific project site. The IGM supplied by the company enables prior assembling of the module columns or along with the installation of racking and foundations. Also, it enables the contractors to construct the grade land or subassembly while fixing the modules to the Unirac rails in a restricted environment. The options enable shorter installation time and reduced level of labor involvement thus reducing the installation costs.
The 425 kW solar power projection project was completed over a two-acre land site at the back of the bank building. The IGM parallel assembly supplied by the company enabled completion of the project during the harsh winter conditions. Moreover, the assembly line successfully met one of the decisive factors of the project to have a southwest orientation needing lower sloped (15 degrees) systems than other typical systems by utilizing a single pole-mounting system.
