SolarEdge Technologies, a supplier of solar power monitoring and solar power optimization solutions, has declared the receipt of certification for its latest module-embedded power optimizers and their availability in the market.
The optimizer endorsed as an accepted photovoltaic component globally and listed in North America is fixed as a junction box in the SolarEdge optimized solar modules.
The latest power optimizers from SolarEdge incorporate an effective ASIC chipset to achieve a record efficiency of 99.5%, a 32% lower part count and a range of algorithmic developments. The incorporated improvements assists in the production of around 25% more energy and quicker return on investment in commercial as well as residential solar PV installations. Moreover, the new optimizer enables electric discharge finding and stopping capabilities to decrease solar photovoltaic associated electrocution and fire risks.
The technology, which was introduced to the market as an additional component to optimize has been exhaustively examined by Photon Magazine labs to assess its efficiency. The results of the carried out tests are released in its current October issue. The tests claim that the new system increased the yield in all circumstances including the solar shadow period. It added that the features such as automatic module disconnect and module monitoring improves the financial stability and technical safety of the installation.
SolarEdge is partaking in the Solar Power International exhibition to be held at the Dallas Convention Center, Dallas, Texas, from 17 to 20 October to showcase its new products.
