The Research Institute for Innovation Governance Studies (IGS) of University of Twente in association with the Research School for Socio-Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment (SENSE) is organizing a conference titled, 'Resilient Societies - Governing risk and vulnerability for water, energy and climate change' from 19th to 21st October at the University of Twente.
The conference is focused to find convenient solutions to the ills such as energy shortage, water scarcity and climate change. The conference will provide a viable platform for scientists, technologists and policymakers to put forth their combined efforts to find realistic and easy to use solutions on various related issues. It will allow the participants an opening to talk over convenient solutions from scientific, managerial and technical stand point on a range of topics related to climate change, energy and water. The conference will enable the participants to form associations across the geographical and sectoral limits to find solutions.
In the conference, Dr Nabil Abuznaid, the Palestinian Ambassador will discuss with diplomats and other ambassadors on water management related issues in the Middle East and sharing of natural resources. The meeting will also focus and offer a meeting point to discuss sustainability of industry and the current energy production technologies in vogue in Europe. The conference will also feature a meeting between the local Twente housing corporations to find solutions for eco-friendly living.
