Array Technologies, declared that it has completed the first shipment of its solar tracking systems meant for a utility-scale solar photovoltaic project being built by Recurrent Energy.
The 50 MW DC solar project is being developed for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District in southern Sacramento County, CA. Recurrent Energy, has chosen Swinerton Renewable Energy as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor for the project.
The project is being developed in three sites such as Dillard (12 MW), Bruceville and Kammerer (19 MW each) in the Sacramento region. All the sites will deploy DuraTrack HZ tracking systems developed by Array Technologies. The Dillard site will incorporate a number of DuraRack fixed arrays to maximize the power generation and use the existing space. The DuraRack fixed systems are meant for use on variable terrain locations and its construction design cuts down the erection time by reducing the tolerance necessities and enables generation of power even in unfeasible locations.
Array Technologies is a producer of solar tracking systems and other linked products meant for the use of residential, commercial and utility level customers all over the world. The company supplies ground-mount racks, and horizontal single-axis trackers needed for the project. Recurrent Energy has chosen Array Technologies for its known product standing and bankability.
