Draker Laboratories, a supplier of reliable and turnkey type of solar PV monitoring systems, has declared the introduction of Utility Suite of services and products exclusively designed for use in grid connected utility-scale solar systems.
Its new Utility Suite photovoltaic monitoring and SCADA control systems have already been chosen and are being used at more than 100 MW worth of solar projects in Canada and the USA, which includes Pilesgrove, New Jersey, located 20 MW solar facility. The Pilesgrove project, one among the largest solar facilities in the northeastern United States, is developed by Panda Power Funds and Con Edison Development.
Utility Suite is an easy to upgrade and safe turnkey platform that enables to monitor the performance of a solar facility as well as concurrent monitoring and managing of the switchgear located at the grid intertie. The system, which can connect with the accessible SCADA arrangements and data historians, which includes OSIsoft Pi System, has a standard substation automation hardware supplied by Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL). A web interface and full switchgear control provided by local HMI renders remote disconnect potentiality for the regional grid operators.
The all around control and monitoring solutions and project engineering and field services provided by the company for utility-scale projects include operator training, capacity testing, support for the installation at the field and commissioning, configuration of equipment and testing, SCADA system design and integration and others.
The company will showcase its products in the forthcoming Power International show in Dallas, TX from 17 to 20 October.
