Coatex, has been honored with the ‘Best Coating Raw Materials Environmental Friendly Award’ on 18 October, 2011, at the Shanghai held Green Industrial Coating Asia (GICA) 2011. Over 250 coatings producers and coating raw materials providers from all over the world attended the summit.
The summit held for two days has witnessed presentations from various participants. Dr. Olivier Guerret, Coatex group’s Director of Innovation and Development and Dr. Charlie Xiong, Coatex Asia Pacific Technical Center’s General Manager stressed how the environment friendly additives and coatings supplied by the company enabled the clients to cut down their ecological impact. They made a thematic presentation titled ‘The importance of the rheological waterborne additives in the low VOC coatings formulations’ on 18 October.
Alain Mari, CEO of Coatex, on receiving the award from Cynthia Arnold, Chief Technology Officer of Valspar, called the award a great honor and said that the GICA 2011 has given the company a bigger platform to explain the innovative vision of the company with all the partakers of the summit.
Coatex, a member of the Arkema Group, designs and manufacturers rheology additives for sedimentary preparations and waterborne procedures. The eco-friendly additives are utilized in a range of applications such as water treatment, ceramics, construction, detergency, minerals processing, paper coating and paints and coatings all over the world.
