Verengo Solar Plus, one of the leading residential solar installation companies in Southern California has expanded its operations into Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Sonoma and Solano counties.
The company is now hiring installation and sales professionals in those areas and is planning to offer Bay Area residents with design, solar installation and financing services for their homes.
Randy Bishop, CEO and Co-Founder of Verengo, said that according to a recent study, 9 out of 10 Americans need more solar energy and Verengo believes that the 7 million plus Bay Area residents will take advantage of the affordable financing opportunities the company will provide. The price of solar has declined due to existing federal and state incentives and lower panel costs.
Mike Terry, Northern California Sales Manager of Verengo said that as a result of strong state as well as utility rebate support, California has become a national leader in domestic solar installation. This empowers Verengo to provide homeowners the capacity to reduce their energy bills extensively for the next 20 years and at the same time help them to increase their home value.
As reported by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the cost of solar installation has dropped to 30% over the past year. The latest report of SEIA also indicated that business models such as Verengo are extending residential solar to a wider market.
Terry also said that Verengo employed more than 350 employees in the past year, because as the amount of full-sunlight days and high electricity costs in the Bay Area increase, the company may need more number of employees to provide quality service to the residents.
