Canadian Solar Provides Modules for 9 MW Solar Power Plant in Spain

Canadian Solar, which is one of the main solar companies in the globe, has provided solar modules for a power plant, with 9 MW capacity, by the OPDE Group in Spain. The company has planned to commission the solar system during the fourth quarter of 2011. Canadian Solar is expanding its presence continuously in south Europe, by means of this solar project.

During mid-October, OPDE began the construction of a solar system in the Ablitas town of the Spanish area, Navarra. Canadian Solar’s high quality CS6P-P solar modules are utilized in this photovoltaic project.

Marketing Manager of OPDE Group, Teresa Marticorena, stated that the project requires reliable and powerful solar modules, which offers high yields for the system. OPDE has found a partner in Canadian Solar, who is influenced by the solar modules' high performance, quality and economic value.

Canadian Solar’s CEO and Chairman, Dr. Shawn Qu, stated that the company has a chief solar project firm and a strong partner in the world, through the OPDE Group, because of whom the company can expand additionally in south Europe, and finish the huge solar projects successfully.
