Bentek Solar has deployed 250 MW of its Bentek Zone current monitoring systems in North America. The monitoring systems are installed inside the company’s disconnect safety systems and re-combiners.
The Bentek disconnect safety systems include circuit breaker safety systems (CBSS) and multiple disconnect safety systems (MDSS). The Bentek Zone Current Monitoring system is a reliable and sophisticated monitoring system that enables operators of PV systems to identify possible problems in PV systems. It also facilitates the operators to optimize the performance of the PV systems.
The Zone current monitoring system has an Ethernet or RS-485 interface, which runs a Modbus protocol. The system consists of an interface module for acquisition of data and dedicated current transducers for each distinct zone. The monitoring system also includes required power supplies and terminals that facilitate simple installation. In addition, the individual circuits can be selected by customers and calibrated to have an accuracy of 0.05% or 1%.
Bentek utility-scale disconnect safety systems, including the MDSS and the CBSS systems and re-combiners are provided in the Bentek Zone Current Monitoring system as a standard facility. In commercial disconnect safety systems and re-combiners the monitoring system is offered as an optional feature.
Bentek Solar designs and manufactures various types of PV products that are required for connecting PV panels to inverters in the utility-scale and commercial marketplaces. Bentek manufactures solutions for sophisticated power distribution and electro-mechanical systems for the solar and semiconductor industries.
