Cenergy Power, a California-based solar developer with excellent solutions for large industrial and commercial applications together with Ready Roast Nut Company, a custom processor of full and manufactured tree nuts and an industrial supplier, have finished the erection of a 472 kW solar photovoltaic system at Ready Roast Nut’s facility located in Madera.
Audrey Maring, Business Development at Ready Roast Nut said that their solar PV system is one among the numerous investments that Ready Roast has commenced in order to jointly partner with the customers to realize sustainable goals mutually. He further added that it is the company’s commitment to the community, employees and the customers to lessen the environmental impact.
Cenergy Power was chosen to plan and build the solar system owing to its established status and engineering proficiency. The solar system extends to over nearly 70,000 sq ft of roof space and is most favorably planned to save over $5 million of utility charges for 25 years, generate over 670,000 kW hrs of clean power a year and to offset over 90% of the facility's cold storage electric utility usage.
Dave Wissing, Director of Operations at Ready Roast Nut said that he feels that it is the best time as they are expecting a surge in the energy demands because of the energy loads from the cold storage capacity. According to the agreement, Cenergy Power will offer 10 years of scheduled O&M work that includes preventative maintenance & repair, touch-free panel cleanings and on the whole system warranties though not restricted to these alone.
