Wagan Tech, a developer and manufacturer of portable power supplies, power inverters and other electronic products, plans to showcase its Solar e Power Case 450 and Solar e Power Cube 1500 solar power generators at the 2012 International CES being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The solar power generators are self-contained plug and play type of generators that provide AC power. They are meant for the developing world where the electric power cannot be depended upon. The generators can also be used in green environments for powering remote villages instantaneously.
Both the Solar e Power Case 450 and Solar e Power Cube 1500 generators can be set up easily and rapidly. The generators have an AGM/gel hybrid battery, solar panels and Wagan’s legacy power inverters. These components are supplied together with the generators in sturdy cases. Wagan’s Solar e Power Case 450 is a compact unit featuring a 40 W solar panel unit, a 26 AH battery and a 450 W inverter all packed in a rugged case.
The Solar e Power Cube 1500 delivers more power when compared to the Solar e Power Case 450. It includes a 55 AH battery and a 1,500 W AC inverter packed in a wheeled, rugged case. The generator has solar panels that provide 80 W of energy to the battery. The solar panels are in a folded position and they can be unfolded and slid out at the desired location.
Both the models are scalable. Additional batteries and solar panels can be added when required.
