Mind4Energy has launched M4E Powermonitor, a new PV-monitoring system. The company has partnered with Ghent University to develop the system.
The M4E Powermonitor is a service tool for monitoring the performance of solar plants. It allows the user to visualize and compare the major indicators of performance of solar plants.
For the collaborative project, UGent-Power-Link had lent its expertise in data gathering, monitoring and software development, while Mind4Energy had contributed its know-how in data communication and photovoltaics. The project resulted in a reliable tool for PV plant operators.
The Powermonitor is designed to help the owners of PV plants to maximize the output at their facilities and will enable them to easily follow up on the performance and operation of the PV plants. The PV monitoring system will help the plant owners to provide guarantee for their return-on- investment. It will also aid in helping them improve their returns from the investment they have made in the PV plants. The system is an important asset where increasing electricity costs and decreasing green certificates are prevalent.
The M4E Powermonitor features automatic reporting. It has an interface that is user friendly, web-based and secure. It will be showcased at the Intersolution PV show to be held in Ghent, Belgium.
