SolarBridge Technologies, a manufacturer of module-integrated microinverters, has partnered with Solartec Energia Renovable, a manufacturer of crystalline silicon and thin film modules, to launch AC modules in the Mexican market. Pantheon microinverters from SolarBridge power Solartec’s AC modules.
The S60MC from Solartec is a 240 W monocrystalline AC module, which alters all solar modules’ DC power to grid-compliant AC power. A Pantheon microinverter has been installed at the back of the S60MC module. Solartec is expecting to deliver these modules shortly.
SolarBridge-powered roof-ready AC modules decrease 20% of the field installation time and provide up to 25% more energy harvest over systems based on central inverters.
The built-in AC modules offer low cost rooftop solar installation. Fideicomiso Para El Ahorro De Energia Electrica (FIDE) of Mexico has certified Solartec’s S60MC as an energy-efficient product, through which system owners are qualified for further rebates.
Mexico has been found as a high potential market by IMS Research for future deployment of photovoltaic systems. Installations are expected to grow at a rate of more than 200% in the next four years in the Mexican market.
According to Miguel Medina, Solartec’s General Manager, SolarBridge has been an excellent collaborator in introducing the S60MC to the Mexican market. High reliability and new product design from SolarBridge enabled Solartec to directly incorporate the microinverter into the module according to the requirements of the Mexican solar market.
