National Solar Power declared that it has signed a solar farm development agreement with Liberty County, Florida.
On the Liberty County’s property, next to the company’s Gadsden County, the National Solar Power will construct a 100MW solar energy project, as per the agreement. The Florida solar farm project is the company’s third in Florida that includes a $350M investment.
For each 20MW farm segment, National Solar Power will employ an engineer, three-person maintenance crew, and security personnel. The first phase of the project will be initiated, following the local and state permitting process. Hensel Phelps Construction, renowned for re-constructing the pentagon devastated by the 9/11 attack, will design and construct the Liberty County solar farm project.
National Solar Power recently launched the Green Infrastructure Partners, with intent to fund its renewable energy infrastructure projects. Solar Capital Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Solar Power Partners will direct and control the Green Infrastructure Partners.
The company has also signed contract with Progress Energy Florida and anticipates providing its power generated through its Florida solar farm projects to other dynamic customers who will utilize it for peak-shaving during summer and other purposes. In addition, it has also achieved power supply contracts in the Southeastern United States, for over 3,000MW of solar farms.
