The GEN2 Solar Simulator from Alpha-Omega Power Technologies, a pioneer in concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) solar simulators, has been purchased by Solapoint. Ray Cravey, President of Alpha-Omega, stated that Solapoint provides excellent quality and applies in-depth concentration during the process. He also added that the GEN2 will meet Solapoint’s high industrial practices.
Solapoint focuses on traditional foundry services by using consumer deliverable epi wafers for production and analysis of cells. The company’s range of analysis and measurement potentiality for a better consumer delivery is supported by Alpha-Omega Test System. The required quality parameters are strictly followed by Solapoint to achieve 100% test wafers in a surplus amount of 1000x suns.
Alpha-Omega Power Technologies is situated in Albuquerque at New Mexico. Solar simulators and test systems for Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) are mainly provided by this company. High functioning simulators having more than 3000 suns with a Class A spectrum and test around 240 cells per minute for cell, receiver, wafer and module testing are produced by the company.
Solapoint produces III-V solar cells for terrestrial and commercial purposes, and meets the strict quality requirements of the HCPV industry.
