Upsolar, a global solar module developer and producer, and Plan-net Solar, a company specializing in solar power installation, have collaborated to deploy a 1.2 MW rooftop photovoltaic system in Slovenia.
The project represents Upsolar’s business expansion in the developing Balkan market. Plan-net Solar is also an exclusive distributor of Upsolar’s products in Slovenia.
The company has recently completed the 783 kW first phase of the 1.2 MW rooftop project. The project includes installation of 230 W polycrystalline modules, and the entire rooftop installation is expected to be completed in the latter half of 2012. Upsolar has an office in Athens, Greece.
Enrico Carniato, Director of Europe Sales at Upsolar, stated that the company’s expertise in global developments and its market flexibility are important to expand its customer network. He also added that collaborations with major companies like Plan-net Solar help in bringing their high quality PV modules to Slovenia. The polycrystalline modules that are “Made in EU” certified offer various benefits to European clients.
Customers in the Balkan region show more interest in Upsolar’s modules that feature power optimizer technology and exclusive framing options, remarked General Manager of Plan-net Solar, Marko Femc. The partnership will enable increase use of renewable energy in the Balkan region.
At the Solar Balkans 2012 exhibition, Sebastien Prioux, Director of Project Development, and Anne Torricelli, Senior Europe Sales Manager, will discuss Upsolar’s expansion in the Balkan region and will deliver insight on the regions’ solar market.
