Schletter, has extended its production ability for its Park@Sol solar carport series.
The product can be installed readily without on-site welding and third-party services expenditure.
The modular system can be attached to different foundation types according to customer requirements and is modeled to be installed in different sites. Further, a 5-Axis CNC milling and cutting center is added to the production unit. The semi-automated center includes 59 ft workable length that allows extrusion processing for longer period. Hence, the span ability amid upright supports of Park@Sol is enhanced.
The company’s Vice President of production, Christoph Hackner stated that the center, one of the technologically sophisticated systems, is used by the company to fabricate industrial products such as the company’s solar carport. He added that the center enables the production unit to provide robust models while reducing the material costs. In turn, the customers can avail the product at low cost.
The product is available with lower kilowatts to higher megawatt sized parking configurations and can be availed in three normal design choices, which includes an exclusive design for north-south patterns and single and double row set up. Most module types can be housed in the carport system. In addition, the company has licensed structural engineers and in-house geotechnicians for construction drawings and total structural analysis calculations respectively for a project.
From 2008, Schletter has been involved in designing, developing and producing solar mounting products in the U.S. the company has produced over 500 MW of installed PV mounting systems.
