StormCon 2012 Conference Aims at Reducing Water Pollution

StormCon 2012 conference will be attended by world-class water quality and storm experts. Latest technologies dealing with mitigation and prevention of water pollution will be highlighted and explored in this conference. These experts will put forward their own views and strategies with the aim to reduce the pollution of surface water.

StormCon 2012 conference will take place between August 19 and August 23 in Anaheim, CA. The participants other than the experts include a number of water quality professionals such as EPA officials, municipal and government officials, site inspectors, builders, contractors, educators, consultants, researchers, enforcement officials, planners, designers, civil engineers, property executives and regulators.

The significance of this conference is to highlight the urgent requirement of bringing together government employees and engineers from private sectors in order to protect water supplies and focus on public safety and health. The participants will also include important individuals from counties and cities all over North America. Organizations participating in the StormCon 2012 conference include University of Delaware, EPA, National Park Service, AMEC, University of California, CDOT, Home Depot, URS and many more organizations.

The multi-track course curriculum deals with materials focusing on green infrastructure, BMP case studies, erosion and sediment control, industrial stormwater management, stormwater program management, advanced research topics, and water-quality monitoring. Stormwater-related equipment and products will be exhibited by almost 200 vendors.
