Soluxe Solar, a provider of customer service, products and installation for solar energy systems, has stated that a common misconception about sufficient sunlight exists among people in New England.
The CEO of Soluxe Solar, Jeffrey Mayer, stated that majority of homeowners in New England think that there is not sufficient sunlight in New England. They believe that such insufficiency does not warrant an investment in a solar energy generating system. Soluxe Solar states that such a notion means that those homeowners have not recognized the value behind such investments.
Other common perceptions are that the northern latitudes do not have adequate sunlight. Homeowners and businesses also overestimate the cost of solar roof panels.
Mayer continued that the sunlight in New England is just about 15% lesser than that in Florida. This would mean that investment in solar panels were equally justifiable in states like Texas and those up in the north like New York. In fact, making an investment in solar panels in the northern states is even better when the state and local government incentives and the higher electricity costs are taken into account.
Soluxe Solar is based in Connecticut with its headquarters in Darien. It has shown customers that they can utilize solar power and achieve significant cost savings.
